The House Project

Second Floor Bathroom

This room was the starting place. It was awful. There was even a rotted hole in the floor. I tore out everything except the tub and added a pedestal sink, switched lights over the sink,a new toilet, and some cabinets.   The lower portion of the wall is grey and the upper portion is cinnabar.

I replaced the commode and added a white cabinet over the commode to provide a nice contrast to the darker color on the wall.  Another cabinet faces the commode and provides storage for towells and other items.  The floor is a blue and gray ceramic tile with gray grout. I did get crossways with the "City of St. Louis" on this project. I didn't know I needed a permit to repair sheetrock!!!! Oh well, after dealing with the condemnation notice I got things lined out with the city and know how things work now.

A new shower curtain covers the tub area.  The original light fixtures were rewired and matching globes were added for the ceiling lights and the light bar over the lavetory.  This has been a very nice transformation and everyone comments about how nice the bathroom looks.  The bathroom was finished just after Christmas 2002.
